Geguard Water™ increases concrete streght

Using Geoguard Water in concrete production increase the compressive strength by 66% on average, Increased concrete density decelerates the corrosion of embedded structural steel, thereby increasing the durability and extending the service life of critical infrastructure such as marine structures, bridges, and tunnels.

This becomes possible due to  higher energy level and stronger hydrogen bonds between water molecules in Geoguard Water.

Test Objectives:

The primary objective of the test is to determine if the use of Geoguard Water in a concrete mix has any impact on the resulting compressive strength, a key property of the hardened concrete. Essentially, the test should investigate whether using Geoguard Water alters the concrete’s ability to withstand compressive forces compared to using standard water.

Experimental Procedure:

On September 17, 2017. Three concrete cylinder samples were prepared using a mix consisting of 65–70% High Strength “Sakrete” mix and 30–35% water.

  • The control sample, labeled “R”, was prepared using regular municipal tap water.
  • The other two samples, labeled “G1” and “G2”, were prepared using water from the same municipal source, but passed through a Geoguard Water Revitalizer before mixing.

Test results:

The test took place and results were certified on September 24, 2017 by MTI Engineering and Testing Inc.
Control sample R began disintegrating at a load of 3,940 lb, while sample
G1 disintegrated at 6,610 lb and sample G2 at 6,520 lb. The following compressive strengths were recorded: sample R317 psi (pounds per square inch), sample G1522 psi, and sample G2529 psi, respectively. The compressive strength of samples G1 and G2 increased by 65% and 67%, respectively, compared to the control sample R.

Results explanation

High inner energy of Geoguard Water™ provides superior bond with calcium silicate – major compound of cement. Calcium silicate hydrate (C-S-H) is the primary binding phase, acting as the “glue” that holds the material together and provides strength and durability.
